Create a Custom Attendance Status

Duet comes with 4 built-in attendance statuses. If none of those fit your needs, you can create new ones. Here is how.

Duet comes with 4 built in attendance statuses:

  • Attended

  • Cancelled

  • Missed

  • Ignore/Reschedule

There may be times when none of the 4 above match your needs with attendance. For example, let's say a student is late for their lesson and you want to keep track of this. You can add a new status named Student Late to do so.

To create your own attendance status, do the following:

  1. Click on your name > Settings.

  2. Click on the Calendar tab.

  3. Scroll down to Lesson Settings section < Edit Attendance.

  4. At the Add new attendance field enter the name of your attendance status.

  5. The Billable/Not Billable toggle switch is, by default, set to Billable. If you wish to change this to Not Billable click on it.

  6. Click on the Add button to create your new attendance status.

Your new attendance status is now added. Scroll down the Edit Attendance list to see it.

You will also see your new attendance status in the drop down box when setting attendance.
