About This Tutorial

Sometimes a student will need to reschedule a lesson. This lesson can be a one time occurrence or it can be a series of lessons that all need rescheduling.

You can reschedule the date and/or the time. If you reschedule the time only, the lesson will remain on the same date on your calendar. If you reschedule the date, whether you change the time or not, the lesson will move to that rescheduled date on your calendar.

This tutorial shows you how to reschedule a lesson and also how to reschedule an entire series of lessons.

Reschedule a Single Lesson

Let's say a student is grounded for a few days and won't be able to make the lesson. They would like to reschedule for another day and time. After deciding on a day and time that will work, you need to reschedule the lesson in your calendar.

  1. Click on Calendar.

  2. Find and click on the lesson that you want to reschedule. In this example, it is on June 14th, 2022.

This will open up the Scheduled Lesson popup box.

  3. In the Scheduled Lesson popup box, select Reschedule.

  4. At Date, click on the Calendar icon and choose the new date. In this example, it is June 17th, 2022.

  5. Click in the Time field and choose a new start time. In this example, it is 10:00am.

  6. Click on the Save Changes button.

The lesson is rescheduled. The lesson moved from Tuesday at 1:00pm to Friday at 10:00am. Note: If you are only moving the day of the lesson and not the time, you can simply drag and drop the lesson box from one day to another in your calendar. The lesson (at the same time) will now appear on the new day.

Note: Your student will see the changes on their calendar as well.

Reschedule a Series of Lessons

Let's say that you have a student who needs to reschedule their two months of summer lessons before they start. The student asks that the lessons be on Tuesdays at 2:00pm instead of Mondays at 10:00am.

  1. Click on Calendar.

  2. Find and click on the first date of the lesson series. In this case it is on June 6th, 2022. This will open up the Scheduled Lesson popup box.

  3. In the Scheduled Lesson popup box, click on the Pencil icon.

This will open up the Edit Lesson popup box.

  4. In the Edit Lesson popup box, scroll down until you find the Repeats and Ends on boxes.

  5. At Repeats change which day the lessons will be on. In this example, click on Mon to uncheck it. Then click on Tue to check it.

  6. At Ends on, click on the Calendar icon and choose a new ending date. In this example, it is June 26th, 2022.

    What the changes look like.

  7. Next, scroll down until you find the Date and Time fields.

  8. At Date, click on the Calendar icon and choose a new starting date. In this example, it is on June 7th, 2022.

  9. Click in the Time field and choose a new starting time. In this example, it is 02:00 pm.

  10. Select Apply changes to this and future lessons.

  11. Click on the Update Lesson button to save your changes.

The entire lesson series is rescheduled. The lessons moved from Monday at 10:00am to Tuesday at 2:00pm.

Note: Your student will see the changes on their calendar as well.
