Problem
When you create any type of event, for some reason, you don't see the name of the event or the name is hard to read on your calendar.
For example, let's say you created a private Lesson. Then you created a Jazz Band event. You notice that the name of Lesson is easy to read on your calendar, but the Jazz Band event name is hard to read.
Cause of Problem
Duet comes with 7 built-in event category types. They are:
You can also create your own. In this example, the teacher created the Jazz Band event category type. For each event category type you can set the font (foreground) color and the background color. If the font is the same, or close to the same, color as the background color then it will be hard to see the name.
Resolution
To fix this issue change either the background color or the font (foreground) color of the event category type in your settings. Or both if you like.
Tip: If you want to use a dark background then choose a light font color. If you want to use a light background then choose a dark font color.
Click on your name > Settings.
Click on the Calendar tab.
Scroll down a bit until you see Edit Categories in the Lesson settings section.
Find the category that is giving you the problem. In this case it is the Jazz Band category.
Hover over the name of the category, in this case Jazz Band, and click on the Pencil icon.
In this case we will change the font (Foreground) color. Click on the colored square under Foreground.
Select a color. Let's choose white.
Click outside of the color chooser to lock in your color change.
Click on the Save button.
You will see your changes in the Edit Categories box.
Now you can more easily see the name of the Jazz Band event on your calendar.
