About This Tutorial

The Practice Log feature allows everyone to keep track of how often and for how long each student practices.

You can create, edit, and delete practice logs. This tutorial will show you how to create practice logs. NOTE: Your students can record their own practice times in their own Duet accounts. This tutorial addresses how to log time from the teacher's side.

Create a Practice Log

Let's say that you and your students like to log how often they practice. You discuss the student's practice times during lessons, and you want to go into Duet and log the student's practice time directly.

  1. Click on Students > Practice log.

  2. Click on the Log Practice Time button.

  3. Click in the Student drop down box and choose which student you are logging practice time for. In this example we will choose Mozart.

  4. In the Minutes Practiced field, type in how long the student practiced.

  5. In Date Practiced, click on the Calendar icon and choose the date the student practiced. In this example, we will choose June 3rd, 2022.

  6. If you wish to make any notes, fill out either the Notes or Comments field. Both will be visible to you and your student.

  7. Click on the Save button.

The practice log is now recorded.

Note: Your students/parents will also see this practice log in their Duet account.
