About This Tutorial

The practice log feature gives the teacher, adult student, and child student the ability to log practice sessions.

When an adult student/parent goes to log a practice time, the steps are identical to how you, the teacher, does it. However, if a child student goes to log a practice time, the steps are a bit different.

This tutorial will show you the steps your child students goes through to create their own practice logs.

How Child Students Create Their Own Practice Logs

Let's say that your middle school students need to keep track of their practice time. Each student is a child student in Duet, so as long as they have an account they can create their own practice logs.

Note: You can use these as instructions if your child student needs help creating their log.

  1. Click on Practice.

  2. Click on the Log Practice Time button.

  3. In Minutes Practiced field, type in how many minutes you practiced.

  4. In Date Practiced, click on the Calendar icon and choose the date this practice took place. In this example, we will choose May 16th, 2022.

  5. If you wish to make any notes, fill out either the Notes or Comments field. Both will be seen by you, the teacher, and your parents.

  6. Click on the Save button.

The teacher, parent, and student will now see the practice log. Here is how the log looks in the child students account.
