About This Tutorial
Duet comes with three built in Locations:
You can also create your own. On top of that, you can edit every Location whether it came built-in or you created it.
Editing allows you to set a new icon, change the name, add a description, or set it as default. This tutorial walks you through how to change the name of a location.
Edit a Location
Let's say that you mainly teach lessons at your house. When creating lessons you always choose the My Home location to indicate this.
When your students open up the lesson in their calendar and see My Home (especially new students), it can be a bit confusing. For example:
So, your student contacts you and asks if the lesson is being held at your house or theirs?
You want to clear up this confusion. The best way to do this is to change the name of the Location from My Home to Teacher's Home.
Click on your name > Settings.
This will take you into your Settings area.
In your Settings area, click on the Calendar tab.
In your Calendar tab, scroll down until you reach the Edit Locations section.
Hover over My Home and click on the Pencil icon.
This will open up the Edit Location popup box.
In the Edit Location box, scroll down to the Location Name field. Click in this field and type in Teacher's Home.
Click on the Save button.
The name has been changed from My Home to Teacher's Home.
When your student looks at the lesson in their calendar, it is should be more clear where the lesson will be located at.
