When you create a new lesson, group lesson or event, you can setup your Duet studio to automatically notify students.

About This Tutorial

When you create a new Lesson, Group Lesson, or Event in your calendar, you can setup Duet to automatically send an email notification to your students. This is a built-in notification, so all you need to do is turn it on.

Here is what the email looks like:

Turn on New Events Created Notification

Let's say that each time your create a new lesson for your students, you want them to know.

  1. Go to your name > Settings.

    This will open up the Settings page.

  2. Click on the Messaging tab.

  3. Scroll down to the Student Preferences section, and find the New Event Created row.

  4. Click in the box, under the Email column, to check it. This will turn on the email notification.

  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Save Messaging Settings button.

    As long as you have either a student's and/or their parent's email address, Duet will automatically send a New Event Created email to them.
