About This Tutorial

Your student can have their own Duet account where they can access scheduled lessons on their calendar, see billing (if an adult student), create practice logs, and more.

In order for a student to have a Duet account, you will need to create it. This tutorial walks you through how to create a Duet account for your students.

Create a Duet Account for Your Student

In order for your student to have a Duet account, you need to create it.

  1. Go to Students > Students List.

  2. In the Students tab, click on the name of the student whom you want to create a Duet account for. In this example, it is Sophia Lovebug.

This will take you into the Student tab, where you can edit the student's information.

  3. Scroll down until you find the Username and Password fields.

  4. Create a Username. This name can be anything you want. In this case we will use "sophiaLovebug".

Note: If the name is already in use Duet will let you know when you go to save the form.

  5. Create a password. Type in the same word in both the New Password and Verify Password fields.
    โ€‹
The only password rule is that they are case sensitive. For example, "mypassword" is different from "MyPassword". Otherwise, there are no other rules on what the password can be.

  6. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Save Student button.

Send your student their new username and password.
