For DuoSwim to work at its best, you need to accept Apple Health permissions on your Apple Watch when prompted.

Check Apple Health Permissions

If Apple Health permissions aren't set up correctly, please double-check them by following these steps:

  1. Open the Apple Health app.

  2. Tap on your Profile icon.

  3. Go to Privacy > Apps.

  4. Select DuoSwim and ensure that all requested permissions are granted.

Troubleshooting

If you're not seeing the correct swim data in the live workout, DuoSwim app, or Apple Health/Fitness app, there may be an issue with Apple Health permissions.

If the error persists or the Apple Watch repeatedly prompts you to accept permissions, it indicates a syncing issue between the Apple Watch and iPhone. This is an Apple software issue, but here are some steps you can try to fix the problem:

  1. Update Software: Ensure you're on the latest version of iOS and watchOS.

  2. Check Permissions on iPhone:

    • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > DuoSwim and ensure all permissions are enabled.

  3. Check Watch Settings:

    • In the Watch app on your iPhone, go to My Watch > Privacy > Motion & Fitness and ensure Heart Rate and Fitness Tracking are enabled.

  4. Restart Devices: Turn off your iPhone and Apple Watch, then turn them back on.

  5. Toggle Bluetooth: Turn Bluetooth off and on.

If none of these steps work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the DuoSwim app.
