How To Log Custom Workouts on DuoSwim

If you prefer not to follow one of DuoSwim's pre-designed workouts, you can easily create and log your own custom swim workouts. Using DuoSwim regularly transforms it into your essential tool for tracking progress, viewing stats, and sharing workouts with friends.

How to Create Custom Workouts:

1. Create Swim Workout (Requires DuoSwim Pro subscription)

To create a detailed custom swim workout:

  • Open the Explore tab in DuoSwim.

  • Tap on Custom Workout.

  • Select Add Workout.

  • Enter a title for your workout.

  • Add sets to your workout by tapping the + icon.

  • Customize each set with stroke type, effort level, reps, distance, interval, equipment, and heart rate zone.

  • Tap Add Set after customizing each set.

  • Repeat steps 5-7 to define your entire workout.

  • Once complete, click Save Workout.

  • Optionally, sync your workout to your smartwatch or save it for later.

2. Quick Log

For a fast way to log your swim workout:

  • Open the Profile tab in DuoSwim.

  • Tap the (+) icon.

  • Choose Log Swim.

  • Select your pool metric (e.g., meters or yards).

  • Enter the distance swum.

  • Add the duration of your workout.

  • Name your workout.

  • Tap Finish.

Your logged workout will now be visible in your Profile, updating your stats and saving to linked services like Apple Health or Strava.
