The academy program primarily uses "game-like" activities to help teach the fundamentals in a more enjoyable environment that is typically less structured than what you might see in a more competitive setting.

Active Start (PreK-K)

Introduction to physical literacy and physical activity. Players will get a high volume of touches on the ball in a fun, relaxed environment with primarily a 1:1 player: ball ratio. Sessions will focus on the individual while working on dribbling, turning, and striking the ball.

FUNdamentals (1st - 2nd)

Skill development in a positive and fun environment. Players will continue to get a high volume of touches on the ball with an increased focus on 1v1 actions to help promote game understanding. Technical focus on dribbling, turning, passing, receiving, and shooting.

Foundation (3rd - 5th)

Further develop soccer specific qualities in a fun and productive environment. Players will gain a better understanding of how to work with teammates and acquire skills both in and out of possession as well as in moments of transition. We follow the play-practice-play methodology promoted by US Soccer as it emphasizes fun, player engagement, and game-like learning. You can also refer to this article from US Soccer that describes the Play-Practice-Play method.
