How does this work?
Once registration for recreation league closes, it takes about 2 weeks to split up teams and make sure we have coaches for all teams.
A major component of our recreation league is our wonderful parent volunteers, they are the core that helps make this huge session run. In order to get things rolling, our office staff work to get those coaches set up first and foremost. We are attending to communications making sure all teams have coaches.
After all teams have coaches, the coaches will reach out to their respective teams to introduce themselves. We highly encourage coaches and parents to have open lines of communication.
Once coaches are assigned they will then be given a date and time to register their team's practice date and time according to the field availability DUSC receives from Parks & Rec. (Our office staff will not know any teams practice date and time until coaches have reserved a time/location.)
Once practices schedules are reserved coaches will let their teams know days and times. Coaches will be the main point of contact for parents once teams have been announced.
