You can edit data on a map by editing a record. This record will be updated on all maps that contain this dataset.

Editing a record

  • Click on a point on the Map to open the Info window.
  • Click on the Pencil icon to enable editing.
  • Edit your data and click on the Save icon to save your edits.
  • If the Lock icon is closed click on it to open it and update the location data with new location data. The point will move to this new location .
  • Leave the Lock icon closed and update the location data. The point will not move to the new location .

Moving a point

Points can be moved on the map during editing.

  • To move the point on the map hover over it in edit mode and when the pointer changes to a cross, click and drag it to its new position.
  • By default the Lock icon is open. This means that when you move the point the location data will be updated with the new location data.
  • Click on the Lock icon to close it and move the point but leave the location data as it was.
  • Click on the Save icon to save this new position.

Interacting with Data

  • Click on the Nearest button in the Data window to open the Nearest window. Enter the number of nearest neighbors you would like to search for. The map will zoom to the results.
  • Click on the Buffer button to open the Radius or Drive Time window. Enter the distance or time you would like to search for and select the distance type from the drop down. The map will zoom to the results.
  • Click on the Zoom button to zoom in on the Point.
  • Click on the Google Street Map button to open the current map view in Google Street Maps in a new window.

Deleting a record

  • Click on a point on the Map to open the Info window.
  • Click on the Trashcan icon to delete the record.

Bulk Update Data

  • The Bulk Update tool allows you to update multiple records within a selected area.
  • You can use custom areas, territories, buffers or geographic boundaries such as States to update multiple records at once.
  • This will help you save time and reduce the amount of admin work. 

  • To bulk update your dataset, select your boundary.
  • Click on the area.
  • Select 'Bulk Update'.
  • Select the dataset you wish to update.
  • Select the field within this dataset you wish to update.
  • Set the value.
  • Once you press finish, you're records will be updated to reflect the new value and their color is also updated accordingly.
