How to Autofill Job Applications with Extension

How to use our free chrome extension to auto-fill your job applications.

The EarnBetter Chrome Extension will autofill job applications on certain Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). Right now, we support ATS such as Workday, Taleo, iCIMS, Greenhouse and Lever - but we're rapidly expanding this list to support additional ATS.

Please note: once you autofill a job application, that job is automatically added to your EarnBetter job tracker - so you don't have to add it manually.

Below, we'll show you how to use the autofill functionality.

Step 1: Navigate to a job application on a supported site & click "Apply"

For the example below, we'll apply to a "Manager, Sales Enablement" job opening at Disney (which is hosted on the Workday ATS).

*On Workday applications, we suggest you hit "apply manually" instead of "autofill with resume" because our extension is more accurate than their autofill functionality.

Step 2: Once you hit apply, open up the EarnBetter extension by clicking the "EarnBetter" icon on the right side of your browser

See screenshot below - click the EarnBetter icon to open up the extension.

Step 3: Select which resume to use and click "Autofill".

If you have multiple resumes on file with EarnBetter, you will select which resume you want us to use to autofill this job application.

Our extension will fill in the application for you based on what we have on file. If there is information that we don't have on file, you'll have to enter that information manually.

This should save you time having to re-enter the same information over and over again.

*Please note: you can also tailor a resume and cover letter for this specific role from the extension if you want (see button that is between blue brackets in the screenshot below). You would just click that button before you click "autofill".

Step 4: Review the information that we autofilled for you & proceed to next part of the application.

Our extension will fill in all of the fields where we have information on file for you.

  • At the bottom of the extension, we'll provide a summary of which fields we completed for you.

  • There could be fields that we don't have on file, so look through the page and see if there are any mandatory questions that aren't filled in.

  • You'll also want to review the autofill responses for accuracy.

Then hit "Save & Continue" to move onto the next page of the application. That verbiage might change from ATS to ATS.

Step 5: Repeat Steps 3 & 4 for each page of the application until you're done.

*Please note: once you autofill a job application, that job is automatically added to your EarnBetter job tracker (so you don't have to add it manually).
