Outside corners and edges
Do not use plastic or metal corner bead in the Tadelakt system.
Outside corners are formed by hand using alkali-resistant fiberglass mesh tape embedded in thinset, then shaped during plastering.
All board joints must also be taped with fiberglass mesh tape as part of substrate preparation.
Reinforcing mesh (fixtures and high-stress areas)
If you want extra crack protection around fixtures, valves, or other high-stress penetrations, embed fiberglass reinforcing mesh in the second base coat.
Apply part of the second base coat, press the mesh in flat, and cover it fully so it is buried within that coat.
