Installing the App

If you haven't finished installing the app or you've recently changed your theme, check out our installation guide.

If the app's up and running you're ready to create your first guide πŸŽ‰

Creating a Size Guide

1) On the dashboard of the Size Guides app, click 'Create a new chart'

If you are creating a size chart from scratch just click on Create new chart:

2) Give your chart a name in the 'Title' field.

This name is for your own personal reference and will not be displayed to customers.

❗️If you'd like to import your size chart from a CSV or XLS file instead of filling it in manually, do this first as it will reset the title and tags.

Tip πŸ‘€ : Make sure the 'Display size chart' checkbox is ticked if you want it to be displayed on the products you specify at a later stage.

3) Add row/column headers to your chart

Example: For a t-shirt size guide you could add your variants as a top row header (Small, Medium, Large) and your measurement reference points as a left column header (Chest, Length). The actual measurement data for these variants will then populate the rest of the table.

4) Add your measurement data for your variants

Add rows and columns by hovering over the edge of an existing row or column and clicking the green line that appears. Delete them by using the buttons provided.

Tip πŸ‘€ : You can also use an image/HTML for your size chart by clicking the button next to a data field and inserting an image URL or HTML snippet.

Tip πŸ‘€ : You can also add an image above or below the chart by editing and inserting the following HTML code to the 'description' section of the size chart editor.

<img src="your images URL" alt="Measure guide" width="1000" height="1000">

***New method***

Now you can upload the images to the size chart:

5) Add your tags

Your size chart is ready to go, you just need to choose which products to display it on by using tags.

Note ❗️ : Make sure there's no spelling mistakes in your tags otherwise the guide won't show up.

Tip πŸ‘€ : If you want add a size guide to a specific product we recommend you create a new unique tag for it.

Adding existing tags?

If there's a pre-existing collection of products with a common tag (for example, 't-shirts') that you want this size guide to appear on, just add this tag. You can add multiple tags if you wish.

Creating a new tag?

If there's no existing tag for the group of products you want the size guide to appear on, you can create a new one and add it to the products. Then use this tag in your size guide.

Now check if the products where you have added the tags are showing in the size chart:

If you see the no products are matched, you need to make sure to add exact same tag in the product tags.

7) Click 'Save chart'

Make sure you've ticked the 'display size chart' checkbox under the 'Title' text field and save your chart.

8) Check it out

Congratulations your size chart is now live πŸŽ‰ Check it out on the product page!

Don't like how it's presented?

No problem. You can embed the size chart in the product page, or display it in a pop-up triggered by a button or linked text. To change this, revisit the installation instructions in the app and use the code snippet for your preferred presentation method.

You can also change the text on the button/link which triggers the size guide.
