Whether you'd like your users to agree with your Terms & conditions or you'd like them to sign up for your newsletter, here's how to do that (example below).

Settings

You'll find the settings to create checkboxes by going to Settings > Terms & conditions.

Creating a Terms & conditions checkbox

A Terms & conditions checkbox is mandatory by default. A user cannot proceed to the login page without checking this box.

You can enter a sentence that will appear next to the checkbox in the Alternative agreement label field. An example that you could use:
I agree with the {terms and conditions}

The part of the sentence that is between brackets { } will direct your users to your terms and conditions.

This link may lead to a specific webpage with your terms and conditions. If you prefer this you can enter the URL of that webpage in the Terms & Conditions url.

If you don't have a webpage with your terms and conditions, you can also type them in the Terms & Conditions field.

Creating a mandatory checkbox

If you'd like your users to check another box before they can proceed to the test you can create a mandatory checkbox.

You can enter the text that'll appear next to the checkbox in the Mandatory checkbox 1 field.  Make sure at least one part of your sentence is between brackets { } . This will create a link directing your users to the information you want to share.

The URL of that webpage should be entered in the Mandatory checkbox URL field.

You can add multiple checkboxes to the login page.

Creating an optional checkbox

If you'd like your users to sign up for a newsletter or to be contacted after completing the test you can create an optional checkbox.

You can enter the text for this checkbox in the Optional checkbox 1 field. An example:
Yes, I would like to sign up for your newsletter
or
Yes, you may contact me after completion of this test

You can add multiple checkboxes to the login page.

Checked by default

It's not possible  (nor allowed) to have any checkboxes checked by default.

Terms & conditions for an Exam

The Exam layout is different and therefore does not have a Terms & conditions tab, it's called Opt-in. You can find this tab in the Share section. Just like the previous formats you can choose to have no terms and conditions, write your own or insert a link to existing terms and conditions.

Here you can also add mandatory or optional checkboxes.
