What is a CPD Carnet?

CPD Carnet are physical documents that are stamped upon entry to a new country & avoids tariffs/taxes. The vehicles must be reimported back to the original country within 1 year (with extensions possible in certain cases).

How much do CPD Carnets Cost?

Depends on the value of the cars. Generally speaking, you should expect to pay between $2k to $5k for your CPD Carnet.

Note: that you'll likely need either a Cash guarantee (25% to 50% upfront that is returned upon return) or a Bond fee that's a fraction of this (depending on your situation).

How long does it take to get a CPD Carnets?

Usually it takes 1-2 weeks. Rush fee of $500 if you want under < 5 business days turnaround.

What documents do I need to provide?
You must provide photos of the following documents:

  • Vehicle Registration

  • Drivers License

  • Passport

  • 2 vehicle photos (including front/side and back/side view)
