Configure Earning Events (e.g., “Place First Order”)
Overview
Once your earning events are activated, you can further customize how points are awarded for each event. One of the most impactful events is “Place First Order”, which helps turn first-time buyers into repeat customers.
With ECA, you can configure:
Fixed vs. Dynamic points
Expiration intervals
Point equivalency
Status toggling
This gives merchants complete control over how loyalty incentives are structured.
🛠️ Steps to Configure “Place First Order” Event
Go to:
Shopify Admin → Apps → Easy Loyalty Rewards
Click Loyalty Program > Manage Events
Click on the “Place First Order” event from the list.
Set Point Type:
Fixed: A flat number of points per order (e.g., 100 points).
Dynamic: Points based on order value (e.g., 10 points per $1 spent).
🧮 Example: If 100 points = $5, a $50 order will earn 1,000 points.
Set Expiration Interval (Optional):
Toggle “Enable expiration” ON
Enter interval count (e.g., 1)
Choose the unit (e.g., Week(s), Month(s))
⏰ Note: If enabled, points will expire after the set period if not used.
Review & Set Status:
Ensure the Status is set to Active
This ensures the reward is live and operational for customers
Click “Save” to apply changes.
