Introduction
The Order Date Change feature allows merchants to update the next scheduled order date for an active subscription.
This is typically used when an upcoming order must be rescheduled due to operational or customer-specific reasons.
Why It Matters
Changing the upcoming order date helps merchants:
Manage delivery timelines more accurately
Respond to customer requests for rescheduling
Handle exceptions such as inventory delays or holidays
This ensures subscription orders continue to process correctly without cancellation or disruption.
How to Manage Order Date Changes
Step 1: Access Shopify Admin
Log in to the Shopify admin portal
Locate the Easy Subscriptions app in the left navigation
Click Subscriptions to open the subscription list
Step 2: Open the Subscription Order
Review the list of active subscriptions
Click the subscription order you want to update
The order details panel will open
Step 3: Update the Next Order Date
Locate the Next Order section on the right side
Click the pencil icon to edit the order
Select Change Order Date
Choose the new desired date
Click Save to apply the update
The next order will now follow the updated schedule.

Confirm the new order date aligns with fulfillment and inventory availability
Inform the customer if the date change impacts delivery expectations
Review the subscription after saving to confirm the update was applied correctly
