How to Change the Quantity of Products in Subscription Contracts

Introduction

The Change Quantity of Product feature allows merchants to update the quantity of a product in an active subscription order after the order has been placed. This action is managed from the merchant’s Shopify admin and applies to future subscription orders.

This feature supports order adjustments requested by customers or required for operational reasons.

Why It Matters

Updating product quantity ensures subscription orders remain accurate and aligned with customer needs. It helps merchants manage changes without canceling or recreating subscriptions, reducing manual effort and order disruption.

How to Use / Manage

Step 1: Access Subscriptions

  • Log in to the Shopify admin portal.

  • Open the Easy Subscription App.

  • Click Subscription to view all active subscriptions.

Step 2: Select the Subscription Order

  • Select the subscription order you want to update.

  • The subscription order detail page will open.

Step 3: Edit Product Quantity

  • Locate the product within the order.

  • Click the three-dot menu next to the product.

  • Select Edit Product.

  • Update the product quantity as required.

  • Click Save to apply the changes.

Best Practice

  • Review the updated quantity and pricing before saving.

  • Confirm the change with the customer if the update was customer-initiated.
