How to Swap a Product in a Customer’s Subscription

Product Swapping allows merchants to replace an existing product in a subscription order with another product. This feature is typically used when the current product is unavailable or needs to be substituted.

How to Manage Product Swapping

Step 1: Access the Subscription Order

  • Log in to the Shopify Admin portal

  • Open the Easy Subscription app

  • Click Subscriptions to view all active orders

  • Select the order you want to update

Step 2: Edit the Product

  • On the order page, click the three-dot menu on the right side

  • Select Edit Product

Step 3: Swap the Product

  • On the product page, click the three-dot menu again

  • Select Swap

  • The Product Swap panel will open

  • Choose the replacement product

  • Click Swap to confirm

  • Confirm product availability before completing the swap.

  • Review pricing and product details to ensure accuracy after swapping.
