Introduction

The Rating Badge allows customers to rate a specific product directly from the product page. Customers can submit a star rating, write a review, and optionally upload images or videos.

This feature helps merchants collect structured product feedback and display review ratings within the storefront.

Why It Matters

The Rating Badge supports product transparency and customer decision-making.

It enables merchants to:

  • Display product ratings on storefront pages

  • Collect customer-generated reviews

  • Allow image and video uploads within reviews

  • Improve product credibility through visible feedback

This feature supports review visibility and enhances the overall shopping experience.

How to Enable the Rating Badge

Step 1: Access the App

  1. Log in to the Shopify Dashboard.

  2. Click on Trusty & Review from the Apps section.

  3. In the left sidebar, click on the application name.

  4. Select Review Widget.

Step 2: Enable Rating Badge

  1. Click on the Rating Badge.

  2. Enable the Rating Badge option.

This activates the feature within the application.

Step 3: Add the Review Form to the Theme

  1. Go to the Online Store in Shopify.

  2. Click Edit Theme.

  3. From the left panel, select the appropriate Template.

  4. Click on Sections.

  5. Add the Review Form section.

  6. Click Save.

The Rating Badge will now display on the product page along with the review form.

Best Practice

  • Ensure the Review Form section is added to the correct product template.

  • Review storefront placement after saving changes.

  • Monitor incoming reviews regularly from the app dashboard.
