Introduction

The Quick Cart & Checkout Links feature allows merchants to create a shareable link that automatically adds selected products to a customer’s cart or redirects them directly to checkout.

These links are commonly used in email campaigns, direct customer communication, and promotional activities. When customers open the link, the predefined product and checkout details are automatically applied.

Why It Matters

Quick Cart and Checkout links help merchants streamline the purchase process.

Operational benefits include:

  • Reduce manual product selection for customers

  • Simplify purchase flow from marketing campaigns

  • Pre-fill order details for faster checkout

  • Track campaigns or internal workflows using additional properties

This feature supports faster order completion and consistent order configuration.

  • Products

    • Select the product variant that should be automatically added to the cart when the link is opened.

Step 4: Add Customer Information (Optional)

You may pre-fill customer contact details.

This information is automatically applied during checkout when the link is used.

Step 5: Add Personal Information (Optional)

Customer personal details can also be pre-filled.

  • First Name

These fields are optional and may be skipped if not required.

Step 6: Configure Additional Properties (Optional)

Additional properties allow merchants to attach custom attributes to the order.

Examples include:

  • Enter value

These properties help track campaigns or support internal workflows.

Step 7: Configure Link Behavior

Define how the link should function when opened.

  • Link Destination

  • Discount Code

    • Apply a Shopify discount code automatically when the link is opened.

  • Order Note

    • Add a note that will automatically appear on the order once it is placed.

  2. Click Save to generate the link.

The system will create a shareable link that can be used in marketing campaigns or direct customer communication.

Best Practice

  • Generate the link carefully and verify the selected product variants before sharing.

  • Use Additional Properties to track campaign performance or order sources.

  • Select the correct subscription frequency if the product is configured as a subscription item.

Notes

  • Fields from Customer Information, Personal Information, and Additional Properties are optional and can be skipped.

  • Subscription products allow merchants to select a frequency that will apply when the order is created.
