How ecbo cloak vets stores, and what to do if a store's conditions don't meet your expectations.

ecbo cloak stores are vetted before joining the platform, but they are independently operated third-party businesses — not ecbo cloak facilities. We do not manage their day-to-day operations or inspect individual storage conditions.

If you have concerns about a specific store's conditions — cleanliness, security, temperature, or anything else — please contact ecbo cloak support with the store name and details of your concern. We will follow up with the store and factor this into our ongoing partner assessments.

What ecbo cloak does to ensure quality:

  • All stores go through a registration and screening process before being listed

  • Stores must meet ecbo cloak's safety and operational standards

  • Check-in photos are taken at every storage so luggage condition is documented

  • All stored luggage is covered by insurance up to 100,000 yen per item

If you are not comfortable with a store's conditions upon arrival, you are not obligated to leave your luggage there. You can find an alternative store in the app and contact support to cancel the original reservation for a refund.
