Your data, your call
You can permanently delete your ECGWeekly account and personal data from My Account → Delete account. This is different from canceling: canceling stops billing but keeps your history for whenever you return; deletion erases you from our systems.
How it works
Cancel any active membership first. Deletion is blocked while a membership is running so you don't accidentally destroy something you're paying for.
Request deletion from the account page.
7-day cooling-off period. Nothing is erased for 7 days, and you can cancel the request from your account at any point during it. This has saved more than one 2 AM decision.
After 7 days, erasure runs and your personal data is removed.
What's removed, what remains
Removed: your profile, email, quiz history, favorites — everything tied to you personally.
Anonymized: aggregate usage records are stripped of identity rather than deleted, so site statistics stay accurate without saying anything about you.
Retained where the law requires: payment records (financial regulations) and CME claim records (accreditation rules require retention for several years). These are kept only as long as those obligations run.
One honest caution
Deletion is genuinely permanent. We cannot restore quiz history, CME window eligibility, or legacy pricing afterward — a returning member starts completely fresh, at current prices. If you're just stepping away, canceling (free, reversible, history kept) is almost always the better move.
