Adding people to your group (invites, CSV upload, cohorts)

Three ways to fill seats: a shareable link, direct invites, and bulk roster upload — plus removing members.

Three ways to fill seats

1. The invite link. Your dashboard has a shareable join link — drop it in your program's group chat or orientation email. Anyone who opens it claims a seat instantly. Links expire after 30 days (fresh ones are one click away), and you can rotate the link at any time to invalidate the old one — do this if it escapes to a wider audience than you intended.

2. Direct invite. Enter a name and email; the seat is claimed immediately and they receive a sign-in link. Best for onboarding a few people at a time, or the colleague who never clicks links.

3. Roster CSV upload. Onboarding a whole class? Upload a CSV of names and emails and every row gets a seat and a sign-in email at once. The upload screen shows exactly what will happen before you commit, and reports anything it couldn't process row by row.

Cohorts: tag people by class

Assign each member a cohort ("Class of 2029") as they join — or later, in bulk. Cohorts make the dashboard filterable by class and turn June graduation into one action: the cohort manager can offboard an entire class at once.

Removing a member

Removing someone frees their seat immediately for reuse. It's soft by design: their stats remain in your historical data (visible via "include past members"), and their personal ECGWeekly account — including any membership they hold personally — is untouched. Only their access through your group ends.

Common questions

  • Seat already claimed by the wrong person? Remove them; the seat frees instantly.

  • Someone can't claim — "no seats available"? You're full. Add seats self-serve from the billing panel (see Group billing, seats, and renewals) or free one up.

  • Invitee already has a personal membership? They can still take a seat — accesses stack, and they can cancel their personal renewal if they no longer need it.
