1. What is it?

Edgefolio's peer analysis tool is designed to rank your fund amongst your closest peers.

Your peer analysis and ranking is also visible to investors.

2. How is it compiled?

  • We start off with the entire Edgefolio fund universe

  • Next, the tool narrows down the funds according to the default dates input into the tool. Only those funds with performance available in that time period remain in the group. The default dates are derived from your fund's inception date and last month's performance.

  • Furthermore, the group is narrowed down by "Style". Only funds of similar style remain in the group. For example, if you are a Long/Short Equity fund, you will now be compared to other Long/Short Equity funds only.

3. How do I edit my peer analysis?

You may want to edit your peer analysis further in order to appear as part of a more relevant, comparable fund group.

To edit your peer analysis, click on 'Edit Peer group' option.

Next, narrow your peer group by adding strategy and region filters. Adjust the AUM range and track record to those applicable to you.

"Update" your peer group - your new default peer group will now be visible to investors.

4. Can I see who my peers are?

No. As per the fund manager feedback we have received, we have opted to keep the peer group anonymous. In this way, any competing funds will not be able to view your sensitive performance data.

5. Is my peer group visible to investors?

Yes. Your peer group appears to investors in the 'Peers' tab of your fund profile. There is an option to hide your peer group tab by unticking the 'Show peer analysis..' box.

6. My peer group is too small. Can you onboard more of my peers?

We offer a concierge service to onboard your peers to the Marketplace. Please contact support@edgefolio.com with the names of the funds you would like to see on the system.
