When you search for funds on the Edgefolio Platform, you might have noticed two results count: a number of visible results and a total number of results.

This is because Edgefolio gathers and provides data from various sources, the main ones being the fund managers reporting on the Platform and Morningstar. There are other data sources as well, from well known fund data providers. The Edgefolio Platform is a tool that lets you access all this data in a single place.

Some managers might have restricted access to their data and only allow access to users who request it.

Other funds might not be included in your Edgefolio account license when you joined.

The search page still lets you search these funds by names and other qualitative attributes, and gives you the opportunity to request access to a restricted fund data, at the simple click of a button.

This explains why the search results are first counted as number of matching funds visible to you, and a separate count for the total number of matching funds present on the platform.

You can get access to more visible funds by contacting us at support@edgefolio.com to increase your account license.
We will either give you access to more external data providers packages, or upgrade your account to allow you to import your own private fund data, only making it available to you, all through a single tool.
