This article explains how to manage user access to password protected content pages in your Edlio CMS. School administrators and teachers can control which users have access to specific protected content areas on their school website.
Viewing Current Access
To see which users currently have access to password protected content:
Navigate to the password protected content page you wish to manage
Click on the Who has access tab
All users with current access permissions will be displayed in this section.
Adding Users to Password Protected Content
There are two methods for adding users to password protected content areas:
Method 1: Bulk User Addition
For adding multiple users simultaneously:
Go to the Who has access tab
Click the Bulk Actions menu located in the top right corner
Select one of the following options:
Add all staff: Adds only users designated as school staff (teachers, other employees, and school administrators)
Add all users: Adds all users from your User Management system
Method 2: Individual User Addition
For adding specific users:
Go to the Who has access tab
Use the search function to locate the desired user
Click the Add Users button to grant access
Managing Existing User Access
Once users have been added to the password protected area, they will appear in the user list. To manage these users:
Locate the user in the access list
Hover over the user's name to reveal management options:
Remove user: Removes the user's access to this password protected content
Edit profile: Opens the user's profile for additional permission management
User Types
The Edlio CMS recognizes different user types within your school system:
Teacher
Other employee
School administrator
When using the "Add all staff" bulk action, only users marked with these staff designations will be added to the password protected content.
Important Notes
Changes to user access take effect immediately
Users must have existing accounts in your User Management system before they can be added to password protected content
Additional user permissions can be configured through individual user profiles
