Disable and enable a user

Updated over 4 months ago

Overview

This guide explains how to temporarily disable user accounts and how to reactivate them when needed. Disabling an account prevents a user from logging in while preserving their data for future use.

What Happens When a User is Disabled?

When you disable a user account:

  • The account holder can no longer log in to the website

  • Their data and personal pages remain saved in the CMS

  • Their pages are hidden from the public website

  • Their name is removed from the Staff Directory

  • All changes are reversible - you can easily enable the account later
