Deactivating a users account
So that students and teachers can keep their data even when they’re not using Education Perfect for an extended period of time, their accounts can be set to a deactivated state.
Deactivated teachers and students are unable to access the school they have been deactivated in, but can easily be reactivated when necessary (see section below). Accounts can be deactivated by teachers, school leaders or school administrators by navigating to their account and clicking Deactivate. Deactivating a student also removes them from all classes.
Reactivating a users account
User accounts can be reactivated directly via their account and in bulk via the People area (see section below).
In order to reactivate them via their account, navigate to their account and click the Reactivate button.
Once their account is reactivated, add them to the required classes by navigating to the Classes tab and clicking the Add to classes button.
Removing a user account from your school
School Administrators are able to entirely remove deactivated accounts from their school in the case that the account will no longer be required. This can be done by navigating to the users account, ensuring they are already deactivated and clicking the Remove from this school button. If the Remove from this school button is disabled, ensure the student’s account has been deactivated first.
Making changes to multiple accounts at once
In the case that you have multiple accounts that need to be deactivated, reactivated or removed from your school, you can do so via the main page of the People space in your school settings. In order to make changes to multiple accounts at once:
Locate the account you want to update
Use the check-box on the left hand side to select the account
Locate and select any additional accounts you want to update
Click the Edit dropdown and select which account change you would like to make
