The EduSynch CEFR Level Test is designed to accurately assess English language proficiency across four key skills: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. The test aligns with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) but is expanded into a more nuanced 15-level scale ranging from A0 (true beginner) to C2 (proficient).
Evaluations conducted by our evaluators take up to 24 hours. For users being evaluated by AI, you will receive your results in less than 5 minutes, though. you may need to log out and log back in to see them.
Test Structure Overview
The test takes approximately 1 hour to complete and is divided into the following sections, in this order:
Reading (20 minutes)
Number of Questions: 12-15

Listening (10 minutes)

For users taking the EduSynch CEFR Level Test in Malaysia, there are several key features designed to enhance your testing experience:
Fast Turnaround Time:
All evaluations, particularly for the Speaking and Writing sections, are conducted by our team of certified evaluators. You will receive your detailed score report and your certificate within 24 hours of completing the test.
Certificates and scores are valid for 2 years.
Second Attempt Flexibility:
On your first attempt, you must take the full CEFR Level Test in the order it is given: Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing.
If you are an English teacher in Malaysia, after your initial attempt, you are entitled to resit the test again for free. That means you get a free second chance at taking the test (resit).
If you qualify, you can choose to retake any specific section (Reading, Listening, Speaking, or Writing) or repeat the entire test. This allows you to focus on improving areas where you want to enhance your score. You can also choose more than 1 specific section if you want.

Achieving a C1 Level:
To achieve a C1 proficiency level, users need to score an average of C1 across all four sections of the test (Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing). Below is a comprehensive list of all possible score combinations that can achieve an overall C1:
