Why This Matters in Live-In Care

Out-of-date information can cause:

  • Delays if we need to contact you urgently

  • Problems with payroll

  • Issues with DBS or compliance

  • Safeguarding risks

  • Delays in responding to emergencies

Accurate records protect you and your client.

You Must Tell Us If You Change:

  • Your name

  • Your home address

  • Your phone number

  • Your email address

  • Your emergency contact details

If any of these change, email your Care Coordinator as soon as possible.

Name Changes

You are legally allowed to change your name at any time.

If you change your name:

  • Inform us in writing.

  • We will update your records.

  • Payroll and DBS records may require supporting documentation.

Your previous name will be kept confidential and only accessed if legally required.

Gender Updates

If you would like your records updated to reflect your affirmed gender:

  • Contact the office confidentially.

  • We will update your details respectfully.

  • Your previous information will not be disclosed without lawful reason.

Your dignity and privacy matter.

What To Do If…

…You Realise Your Details Are Wrong in the System

Email your Care Coordinator immediately so we can correct it.

…You Change Phone Number While on a Placement

Tell us straight away. We must be able to contact you during live-in placements.

…Your Emergency Contact Changes

Update us immediately. This is especially important in live-in care.

Important

If you do not update your details:

  • Your pay could be delayed.

  • We may not be able to reach you in an emergency.

  • It may affect compliance requirements.

Keeping your information current is part of your professional responsibility.

If you are unsure whether something needs updating — contact the office and check.
