What Support Do You Get?
While on placement, you will receive:
Weekly welfare calls.
Access to 24/7 on-call support.
Structured supervision.
Support if you feel overwhelmed.
During Weekly Calls We’ll Ask About:
How you’re feeling emotionally.
How rested you feel.
How things are going with your client.
Any medication or care changes.
When your next break is.
Be honest — this is about keeping you safe.
What To Do If…
…You Feel Exhausted
Tell us immediately. Fatigue in live-in care is a safety issue. We may review your rota or placement.
…You Feel Emotionally Overwhelmed
Contact your Care Coordinator or the on-call team. We can arrange a confidential discussion and adjustments.
…You Think Your Placement Is Affecting Your Mental Health
Raise it early. We can review support, breaks or matching.
…You Notice Burnout Affecting Your Practice
Tell us. It’s better to ask for help early than risk mistakes.
Important
You should never:
Work beyond safe limits.
Hide exhaustion.
Feel pressured to “just cope”.
Looking after yourself is part of being a professional live-in carer.
If in doubt — call the office.
