When applying for a live-in carer role at Edyn Care, it is crucial to demonstrate your eligibility to work in the UK. You’ll need to prove your right to work in the UK before the interview unless you should prepare your share code and date of birth for the interview.

What is the right to work share code in the UK?

The right to work share code is a unique reference number provided by the UK government to enable non-UK nationals to prove their right to work. It shows the kind of work you are legally allowed to carry out and the length of time they can work. You might have restrictions on the type of job or work you can do, or the number of hours you can work.

How can I get a share code?

You’ll need:

  • A document which says if you have the right to work:

    • Your passport

    • Biometric residence card

    • National identity card

    • Biometric residence permit (BRP) number

  • Your date of birth

  • Access to the mobile number or email address you use to sign in to your UKVI account - you’ll be sent a code for logging in
