Adding content to an adaptive learning path

Use the content editor to add skill atoms, manage languages, and organize an adaptive learning path

Updated yesterday

In adaptive learning paths, you add skill atoms from your organization’s skill taxonomy and arrange them into a personalized sequence for learners. This guide explains how to open the editor, select and order atoms, filter and search the taxonomy, manage multiple languages, review statistics, and save your changes.

Who can use this feature?

  • Available for users with role Owner, Curation Admin or Author

  • Available on All Plans

  • Available on Desktop

Opening the content editor

To add or edit content in an adaptive learning path, open the learning path, go to the General tab, find the Content section, and click Edit. This opens the content editor.

Understanding the layout

The editor consists of three columns:

  • Left: Skill taxonomy of your organization

  • Middle: Your learning path showing selected atoms

  • Right: Statistics for atoms, materials, and total duration

Navigating the skill taxonomy

The left column displays your organization’s skills. Click the arrow next to a skill to expand its chapters, then expand a chapter to view all available skill atoms.

Use the search bar above the taxonomy to find specific skills, chapters, or atoms.

Filtering the taxonomy

Click Filter list to limit the scope of items shown in the taxonomy. The following filter options are available:

  • Curated by: Show only skills owned by a selected organization (e.g., your own)

  • Content: Show only skills/atoms that contain learning materials

Click Apply filters to confirm or Reset filters to clear all selections.

Adding and arranging atoms

Hover over an atom to reveal a checkbox. Selecting it adds the atom to your learning path (it appears in the middle column). You can also select an entire chapter to add all atoms at once, or use the skill-level checkbox to include all chapters and atoms of that skill.

As you select items in the taxonomy, atoms appear in the middle column. Reorder them using drag and drop to define the learning sequence.

Each atom shows the chapter and skill it belongs to, the number of materials, and the total duration.

Hover an atom to access quick actions: Open in new tab and Remove (X).

Note: Quiz questions are managed on the skill atom level and not configured via the adaptive path content editor. Final exams can be configured in the settings tab of the learning path details page.

Reviewing statistics

The right column updates in real time to show the number of skill atoms, materials, and total duration for the current path. These values represent the complete duration if a learner completes all skills and attached materials without skipping any content.

Managing multiple languages

Adaptive learning paths handle all supported languages within a single path. Use the language dropdown in the top right to switch between available curation languages. The taxonomy and your path update to the selected language and the statistics recalculate automatically.

Note: If an atom is not available in the selected language, a red message appears (for example, No content available in Polish). The atom remains in the path but has no localized content in that language, which can change the number of atoms and the total duration.

Saving your learning path

When you have added and organized the desired atoms, click Save content (top right). You return to the learning path detail page, where statistics update automatically and all selected atoms appear in the currently selected language. You can switch languages at any time to compare versions and statistics.

Note: Adaptive learning paths manage supported languages within a single path. Only languages with available content can be published.
