  • User-Friendly Hardware:
SumUp devices are simple to set up and operate.

You can also buy it in retail stores like Verkkokauppa.com or Gigantti.

  2. Register at auth.sumup.com/flows/create to create your SumUp account.

  3. Account verification may take 1–2 business days.

🔌 How to Connect the SumUp Device to the POS

  1. Prepare the Device:

    • Turn on the SumUp Solo.

    • Connect it to Wi-Fi or mobile data.

  2. Open the POS Interface:

    • Go to Inventory → POS.

  3. Start Pairing:

    • Press "Connect SumUp Terminal" in the POS.

  4. Generate Pairing Code on SumUp Solo:

    • Log out from the SumUp app if logged in.

    • Swipe down to open the menu → Connections → API.

    • Press Connect, and a pairing code will appear.

  5. Enter Pairing Details in the POS:

    • Input the pairing code and give the device a name (e.g. Checkout Terminal).

  6. Confirm and Connect:

    • Accept the pairing request.

    • System confirms successful connection.

📌 Good to Know

  • Pairing codes expire in a few minutes.

  • Test with a payment before live use.

  • Receipts are printed from the POS, not from the SumUp device.

  • For refunds, create a negative correction receipt in the POS, and then refund via the SumUp app separately.

🚨 Troubleshooting

If pairing fails:

  • Make sure the device is online.

  • Both the POS and SumUp must be connected to the internet.

  • Ensure the pairing code hasn't expired.
