Creating a Credit Note for the Entire Sales Invoice

Issuing a Full Credit Note

This guide applies to situations where the entire invoice is unpaid and you want to create a credit note for it.


Steps to Create a Credit Note

  1. Go to Sales → Invoices

  2. Find the invoice you want to credit

  3. Click the three-bar menu button next to the invoice

  4. Select Create credit note from this

  5. Enter the credit note date (the system suggests today’s date)

  6. Should the credit note be linked to the original invoice in the ledger? Select Yes

  7. Click Create credit note

The credit note is now created, and the open invoice is removed from the Unpaid tab.
