How Balances and Bank Transactions Are Updated

To utilize this functionality, your bank connections must be activated.

🔹 Bank Statement & Reference Payment Fetching

Eemel retrieves bank account statements and reference payments via Web Services. The frequency of updates depends on the agreement with your bank. Most common intervals are:

  • Every business day

  • Weekly

  • First day of each month

📌 Note: If there are no transactions during the interval, your bank may not generate a statement.

🔹 How Balances Are Displayed in Eemel

Eemel shows the total balance of all connected bank accounts in the top menu bar and individual balances on the Purchase Invoices page.

  • The balance reflects the ending balance of the latest available statement.

  • Additional payments made after that date in Eemel are also factored into the displayed total.

🔹 Statement Arrival

Statements are fetched based on the selected frequency. If there were no transactions in the selected period, no statement will be received.

🔍 Troubleshooting:
If you believe a statement should have arrived:

  • Verify with your bank that account statements are included in the authorization.

  • Check the fetch frequency setting.

  • We recommend setting it to daily for the most up-to-date view.

🔹 Supported File Formats (for banks only)

These formats are configured between Eemel and the banks. End users do not need to adjust these manually.
