How Balances and Bank Transactions Are Updated
To utilize this functionality, your bank connections must be activated.
🔹 Bank Statement & Reference Payment Fetching
Eemel retrieves bank account statements and reference payments via Web Services. The frequency of updates depends on the agreement with your bank. Most common intervals are:
Every business day
Weekly
First day of each month
📌 Note: If there are no transactions during the interval, your bank may not generate a statement.
🔹 How Balances Are Displayed in Eemel
Eemel shows the total balance of all connected bank accounts in the top menu bar and individual balances on the Purchase Invoices page.
The balance reflects the ending balance of the latest available statement.
Additional payments made after that date in Eemel are also factored into the displayed total.
🔹 Statement Arrival
Statements are fetched based on the selected frequency. If there were no transactions in the selected period, no statement will be received.
🔍 Troubleshooting:
If you believe a statement should have arrived:
Verify with your bank that account statements are included in the authorization.
Check the fetch frequency setting.
We recommend setting it to daily for the most up-to-date view.
🔹 Supported File Formats (for banks only)
These formats are configured between Eemel and the banks. End users do not need to adjust these manually.
