How to Create a Project for Time Tracking in Eemel.com

To track hours and invoice them, a project must first be created.

✅ Creating a New Project:

  1. Go to Time Tracking → Projects
(If using Project Management module: Project Management → Projects)

  2. Click New Project (+) and fill in the following fields:

    • Client (*): Select the client for invoicing. Clients are managed via Sales → Customers.

    • Project Description (*): Enter the project name or description.

    • Status (*): Choose the project status (e.g., "In progress").

    • Agreement Date (*): Internal use only, set to today or the actual agreement date.

    • Visible in Time Tracking?: Choose Yes to allow time entries on the project.

    • Internal Project Number: Auto-generated sequential ID.

    • Client’s Order/Project Number: Optional field.

    • Deadline: Estimated completion date.

    • Supervisor: Select the project supervisor (from My Info → Users) — requires Project Management add-on.

    • Client’s Project Manager / Inspector: Select from internal users — also part of the Project Management add-on.

    • Additional Info (Internal): Notes for internal use only.

💰 Payment Installments (Project Management add-on):

Used for milestone billing or contract-based billing.

  • No.: Sequential number.

  • Amount: Net value of the payment item.

  • Invoicing Date: Estimated date, flagged if overdue.

  • Description: E.g., “30% billed upon project start”.

  • Final Invoice?: Mark if it’s the last installment.

  • PDF: Download the generated invoice.

  • Invoice: Click to invoice this item immediately (remember to save first).

  • Invoiced?: Update manually if invoiced outside the system.

  • Actions: Delete the payment item (not possible if already invoiced).
