Throughout the platform, tags are be used to keep track of research, ideas and experiments. Having a clear and defined tagging system is highly advisable and best practise to ensure your results are easily found and useable at a later date

The tags are completely customisable and designed so that data can be found quickly and effectively in the future. The tags used for Research/observations and the tags used for ideas/experiments are different.

The Difference Between Tags

Research tags are designed to classify insights. Good research generates good observations and therefore within Effective Experiments research and observations are linked with unique tags. Meaning if a tag is created for a piece of research, when an observation is then created that same tag will be available to unite the two and make it easy to find later.

Ideas/Experiment tags are designed to classify what you’re testing. The tags used for ideas and experiments are also inked, meaning that if a tag is created for an idea, it will be available to use in an experiment.

How to Create Tags

Creating tags is necessary to keep track of your research, ideas and experiments.

If your project is set up with the ability for tags to be added ad-hoc then this can be a very easy process. When adding a new tag, simply type the name of the new tag into the tag bar. If that specific tag doesn’t exist yet, then you’ll be asked whether you’d like to add the new tag.
