Effy AI is an HR platform for running performance reviews, 360° feedback, 1-on-1s, goals, and growth plans. This connector brings Effy AI into Claude, so you can run your HR work where you already are: prepare and debrief 1-on-1s with expert methodology, keep your team's employee records and meeting notes in Effy AI, build your career tracks — the ladders of levels and competencies people grow along — and see where each person stands on theirs, all from a Claude conversation.
Before you start
You don't need an Effy AI account: one is created for you, along with your workspace, the first time you connect.
If your Claude organization is on a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner may need to add Effy AI for the organization first — see For Claude admins below.
Connect Effy AI to Claude
In Claude, open Settings and, under Customize, select Connectors.
Find Effy AI in the list. If it isn't there, click Add → Browse connectors and search for Effy AI.
Click Connect. A window opens on go.effy.ai.
Sign in to Effy AI, or sign up right there — your account and workspace are created automatically, with no registration form to fill in.
On the Authorize access screen, check the workspace you're connecting and click Authorize.
You're returned to Claude, and Effy AI now shows a checkmark in your Connectors list. Start a new chat and ask away.
Not in the directory yet? While our directory listing is under review, add Effy AI manually: Add → Add custom connector, name it Effy AI, and use the server URL https://go.effy.ai/mcp. Leave the advanced OAuth fields empty. Everything else works exactly as above.
For Claude admins (Team and Enterprise)
An owner can add Effy AI once for the whole organization in Admin settings → Connectors → Add. Each member then signs in to their own Effy AI workspace the first time they use it.
Owners can also decide what the connector is allowed to do. Open the connector's three-dot menu, choose See details, and scroll to Tool permission restrictions: every tool can be set to Always allow, Ask, or Block. A restriction sets a ceiling — members can always choose something stricter. To make Effy AI read-only across your organization, block the twenty tools marked Write or Delete in the table below. These restrictions apply in Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and Claude Code on the web.
Individual members have the same three settings for themselves, on the connector's page in Settings → Customize → Connectors → Effy AI.
What to ask first
"Help me debrief my 1-on-1 with Alex" — paste your rough notes and get structured notes, action items, development signals, and feedback framed for delivery. Best first try: everything it needs is in your message.
"Save that debrief to Effy as a 1-on-1 record for Alex" — the debrief becomes a record in your workspace, attached to the employee. Claude asks before writing anything.
"Look up Maria's recent 1-on-1s in Effy and prep me for tomorrow's meeting" — Claude reads the saved records and builds a prep agenda on what actually happened: themes, open items, a conversation framework, tailored questions.
"Set up a career track for our engineers" — Claude builds the ladder with you: the track, its levels (with promotion signals and growth opportunities), and the competency rows with per-level expectations. It asks how your ladder should look instead of inventing one.
"Where does Maria stand on her career path?" — the person's career slice: her track, what her current level expects per competency, and what the next level asks.
"What can Effy AI help me with?" — the current skill library.
The skills are deliberately grounded: they build on what you tell Claude and on the records saved in your workspace. Asked to prep for someone with no saved records and no context in the conversation, the prep skill says so in a line rather than inventing a history — a short answer there is by design.
The tools Effy AI exposes
A workspace created through Claude sees these 34 tools — fourteen read-only and twenty that make changes, seven of which delete things. The exact list depends on which Effy AI products are enabled for your workspace; other Effy AI plans include more.

Data and privacy
Effy AI stores your account (name and email from your sign-in), your workspace's skill and template library, and the records you choose to keep there — employees, meeting notes and career tracks you save through Claude or in the Effy AI app. Nothing is saved without a tool call you can see: Claude asks before every write, and your conversation itself never leaves Claude. Tool calls are logged so we can keep the service reliable and support you. Effy AI does not use customer data to train AI models.

Known limitations
The skill library currently focuses on 1-on-1 skills and will grow.
Growth plans, reviews, and 360° feedback are managed in the Effy AI app — the connector doesn't create them yet.
Career levels and competencies are edited through the track: to read them, open the track (or a person's career slice).
Each person who connects gets their own workspace.
Disconnecting and support
To disconnect: open Settings → Customize → Connectors, click Effy AI, then click Disconnect. This revokes Effy AI's access.
If the connection ever drops, reconnect exactly as you did the first time — your workspace and its content are kept.
