Effy AI is an HR platform for running performance reviews, 360° feedback, 1-on-1s, goals, and growth plans. This connector brings Effy AI into Claude, so you can run your HR work where you already are — starting with expert 1-on-1 preparation and debriefs. The skill library grows over time.
Before you start
You don't need an Effy AI account: one is created for you, along with your workspace, the first time you connect.
If your Claude organization is on a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner may need to add Effy AI for the organization first — see For Claude admins below.
Connect Effy AI to Claude
In Claude, open Settings and, under Customize, select Connectors.
Find Effy AI in the list. If it isn't there, click Add → Browse connectors and search for Effy AI.
Click Connect. A window opens on go.effy.ai.
Sign in to Effy AI. New to Effy AI? Sign up right there — your account and workspace are created automatically, with no registration form to fill in.
On the Authorize access screen, check the workspace you're connecting and click Authorize.
You're returned to Claude, and Effy AI now shows a checkmark in your Connectors list. Start a new chat and ask away.
For Claude admins (Team and Enterprise)
An owner can add Effy AI once for the whole organization in Admin settings → Connectors → Add. Each member then signs in to their own Effy AI workspace the first time they use it.
Owners can also set what the connector is allowed to do. Open the connector's ⋮ menu → See details → Tool permission restrictions, where every tool can be set to Always allow, Ask, or Block. Restrictions set a ceiling — members can always choose something stricter. To make Effy AI read-only for your organization, block the two write tools listed below (Update Workspace User and Remove Workspace User). These restrictions apply in Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and Claude Code on the web.
What to ask first
"Help me debrief my 1-on-1 with Alex" — paste your rough notes and get structured notes, action items, development signals, and feedback framed for delivery. Best first try: everything it needs is in your message.
"Prep me for my 1-on-1 with Maria tomorrow — she has been leading the migration and missed our last two 1-on-1s" — a prep agenda: themes, open items, a conversation framework, tailored questions.
"What can Effy AI help me with?" — the current skill library.
The skills work from your conversation alone — no email or calendar connection required. They are also deliberately grounded: tell Claude what you already know about the person, because asked about someone it has nothing on, the prep skill says so in a line rather than inventing a history. Effy AI does not store your 1-on-1s in this version, so there is nothing on our side for it to look up.
The tools Effy AI exposes
A workspace created through Claude sees these ten tools — eight read-only and two that make changes. The exact list depends on which Effy AI products are enabled for your workspace; other Effy AI plans include more.
Tool | What it does | Access |
Search Effy Skills ( | Lists the expert HR skills available in your workspace — this is what answers "What can Effy AI help me with?" | Read-only |
Get Effy Skill ( | Fetches one skill's methodology (for example, 1-on-1 prep or 1-on-1 debrief) so Claude can apply it in your conversation | Read-only |
Get Effy Template ( | Fetches the structure your workspace uses for a record type — for example, the outline for 1-on-1 meeting notes | Read-only |
Get Object Schema ( | Returns the field structure of a CRM record type (Company or Contact) | Read-only |
Search Workspace Users ( | Lists the members of your workspace by name, email, or status | Read-only |
Get Workspace User ( | Shows one member's profile | Read-only |
Search Agents ( | Lists your Effy AI automation agents and their status | Read-only |
Get Agent ( | Shows one agent's configuration | Read-only |
Update Workspace User ( | Updates a member's profile fields or membership status | Write — Claude asks before running it |
Remove Workspace User ( | Removes a member from the workspace (their account itself is not deleted) | Destructive — Claude always asks first |
Data and privacy
Effy AI stores your account (name and email from your sign-in) and your workspace's skill and template library. This version does not save your 1-on-1 notes or prep results into Effy AI — copy the output wherever you keep your notes. Tool calls are logged so we can keep the service reliable and support you. Effy AI does not use customer data to train AI models.
Privacy: effy.ai/privacy · Terms: effy.ai/terms
Known limitations
Output isn't saved back to Effy AI yet — that's coming next.
The skill library currently focuses on 1-on-1 skills and will grow.
Each person who connects gets their own workspace.
Disconnecting and support
To disconnect: in Claude go to Settings → Customize → Connectors → Effy AI → Disconnect. This revokes Effy AI's access.
If the connection ever drops, reconnect exactly as you did the first time — your workspace and its content are kept.
