Silent mode

In this article, we explain what silent mode means and how to (de)activate it.

To give you the opportunity to get to know Eitje before your team members start receiving emails, you can use the silent mode.


What is silent mode?

If you start to use Eitje, your account will be in silent mode. This means that your team members will not receive any emails yet, for example, to activate their account or about their planned shifts.

You can recognize that your account is in silent mode by this blue bar on the top of your screen:



Invite team members manually

Do you like to grant some team member early access to Eitje, while your account is still in silent mode? You can manually send them an invitation e-mail:

  1. Navigate to 'Team' at the top.

  2. Click on the profile of the team member you want to invite.

  3. Click on 'Actions' next to the team member's name.

  4. Choose 'Send activation mail'

Deactivate silent mode

Are you ready to give your team members access to Eitje? You can deactivate the silent mode by clicking on 'Click here' in the blue bar. A pop-up will appear that asks you if you, besides deactivating silent mode, also want to send an invitation e-mail to all of your existing team members.

From now on, an email will also be sent automatically when the schedule is published or changed or when you add a new team member to your team (if they activated their account).

โš ๏ธ Note: Do you have multiple venues? Then you have to turn off the silent mode per venue.



Reactivate silent mode

Do you want to reactivate silent mode? You can do this in the settings:

  1. Go on the menu in the top right corner and go to 'Venue settings'.

  2. Under 'General', turn on the toggle next to 'Silent mode'.
