Add an event

Add events to the schedule so that everyone is aware.

You can add events to the schedule, for example a party, meeting or sports event.

You can also create a post on the newsfeed, so team members can respond via the app to confirm whether they will be attending. Read about it here.

How do you add an event to the schedule?

  1. Navigate to 'Planning' in the main menu.

  2. Use the 'Tools' button, or click '+Event' in the event row above the planned shifts:

  3. Complete the fields.

  4. Click 'Save' to publish your event.

    • Choose 'Create event' to make the event visible in your planning.

    • Choose 'Share in post' to post the event as a news update. When you select this option, more fields will appear regarding the news update.

⚠️ Note; Do you not see your event in the schedule? Check whether you have this show option selected under the 'Show' button in the top right corner.

πŸ‘‰ Good to know is that public holidays are not used in Eitje yet, so they won't be displayed automatically on the schedule. We are working on this feature. In the meantime you could manually add holidays as an event to the planning.
