An Admin as well as a Manager can add events to the schedule, for example a party, a meeting, or sports event. It can also be used to point out public holidays, or days you are closed.
Events cannot be linked to a team and are visible on the schedule for all team members of the venue.
β
The event can be added to a post on the newsfeed, so team members can respond to confirm whether they will be attending. More about it here.
How to add an event to the schedule?
Web version
Navigate to 'Planning' in the main menu, either 'per team' or 'per team member'.
Above the scheduled shifts, move your cursor on the date in the event row, then click '+Event'.
Change the date if needed, or select multiple dates. In case of multiple dates, the same event will be created on each of the selected dates.
Other fields are not mandatory:
Enter start and end time, or skip this to create an all-day event.
You can create and select your own event types.
Add files (max 5).
Click 'Save' to add your event to the schedule.
Choose 'Create event' to make the event visible in your planning.
Choose 'Share in post' to also post the event as a news update. When you select this option, more fields will appear regarding the news update.
β οΈ Note; Do you not see your event in the schedule? Check whether you have this show option selected under the 'Show' button in the top right corner.
In the app
In the bottom left of the screen, use the clock icon.
Open the schedule and select the right day.
Use the + on top of your screen and choose 'Create event'.
The app does not offer the option to post the event on the newsfeed, this can only be done in the web version.
π Good to know: Public holidays are not used in Eitje yet, so they won't be displayed automatically on the schedule. We are working on this feature. In the meantime you could manually add holidays as an event to the planning.
Tip: You can add an event with title 'Public Holiday' and then select all the dates in the year.
