Post a news update

Read here how to post a news update on the newsfeed.

Updated this week

On the newsfeed you can post news updates.

You can determine per news update which teams can see the post on their feed. You can also add images, videos, files, polls and articles from the handbook.

πŸ’‘ Tip: Do you want to check who read your update and, if necessary, send a reminder to team members? You can do this in the message statistics.

Create news update in the web version

  1. Navigate to 'Communication' > Newsfeed.

  2. At the top click on 'What is your subject?' Now the news update opens.

  3. Fill out the subject line.

  4. Write the news message.

  5. Click on 'Select team(s)' to select the teams for which the news update is visible. You can select individual teams, but also the venue or whole organisation.

  6. In the top right corner, indicate you want to send it now and then click 'Send'. Once posted all team members in the selected teams receive a notification.

Create news update in the mobile app

  2. Then click '+ New' at the bottom.

  3. Select the the teams for which the news update is visible. You can select individual teams, but also the venue or whole organisation.

  4. Fill out the subject line.

  5. Write the news message.

  6. Make sure 'Send now' is selected and then click the checkmark. Once posted all team members in the selected teams receive a notification.

Scheduled posts and drafts

Not finished writing a news update and want to continue later? Then you can also save a news update as a draft. Select 'Save draft'.

You can also choose to publish the news update at a later moment. For this, select 'Send later' and then fill out the day and time.

When you choose to save it as a draft or post it later, a section appears at the top of the news feed called 'Scheduled & Draft posts'.

If you click this you will see the saved drafts and scheduled news updates with date and time on which the update will be posted.

You can continue to edit the drafts by clicking the little arrow. Or you can immediately send or delete the news update.

Add extras to your news update

You can add something extra to your news update. You can attach an image, video, file, poll or article from the handbook.

  • Image: You can add an image to your news update.

  • Video: Add a video to the news update.

  • File: Do you have a PDF file with extra information, for example about an upcoming event, then you can attach it to the news update.

  • Poll: Ask a question to your team members using a poll. Read more about polls here.

  • Article: Link in your news update to an article from the handbook, for example the house rules.

⚠️ Note: You can only add one image, video, file or poll. Articles from the handbook have a maximum of two per news update.
