Roles

Read here how to give your team members a role in Eitje.

Updated over a week ago

The first person with access to eitje has all the power in the Eitje environment. This is the admin of the environment.

Do you want to promote someone or give them more responsibilities or authority? Then you can assign rights in Eitje to a team member by using roles. With certain roles they get to perform more tasks in their account.

Assign role to team member

  1. Click on the menu in the top right corner and then 'Venue settings'.

  2. Then click on 'Roles on the left side of your screen.

  3. Select the team members that you want to assign a specific role to.

The changes are saved automatically.

Roles

In Eitje, there are eight roles:

โ€‹Admin

Admin

Team members with the Admin role have full control over the Eitje environment and can do everything. They therefore do not need to assign other roles to themselves. The only thing an admin can't do is delete your Eitje environment, because only we can do that.

It is useful to know that only the admins can enter the heading Settings. They are the only team members that can assign and adjust roles and manage the other settings.

Manager

Team members who have this role have more rights when it comes to team members and the schedule. Managers are allowed to:

  • invite team members

  • create teams

  • manage news items

  • edit and create knowledge articles

In addition, managers can manage everything related to planning and availability.

Approve leave requests

Team members with this role may approve leave. They are therefore also entitled to take hours from the leave balance of your team members.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: If you want this team member to be able to approve hours as well, you must assign this role to this team member separately. See 5. Approve hours.

Contracts

Team members with this role are allowed to create, view and adjust the contracts for team members. Team members who do not have these rights will not be able to view the contracts of other team members. A team member can, of course, always view his/her own contract.

โš ๏ธ Note: Team members who do have insight into the financial data (see 7. Financial) but do not have a contract role, cannot see the wage costs per shift/day.

Approve hours

With this role, you make team members responsible for tracking and approving your team's worked hours. These team members have access to the Hour Registration and the Balance page.

โš ๏ธ Note: In order to be able to make exports to the salary administration, this role is needed in combination with role 7. Financial

Write hours team members

Team members who are allowed to adjust the hours of others, but whom you do not want to be approved immediately, can be assigned the Write hours role. The hours that this team member writes are given an orange color in the time registration and must therefore still be approved.

Financial

By assigning the Financial role, team members can access the Details page under the heading Hours in the web version. This gives a team member access to the time registration data.

In the app, team members with this role have access to the Financial report section. This section gives the team member live insight into all the financial data of the day.

Not on planning

This is the only role that is not part of the Admin role by default. By assigning the Unscheduled role, you ensure that this team member never returns in the schedule and time registration. It is therefore impossible to schedule this person or to exchange shifts with him/her.

Because this team member completely disappears from the schedule, an unscheduled team member will never receive messages to approve trade requests regardless of the status of her other roles.
