In Eitje you can send a message to a team member, a team or a group you created yourself. You can do this in the web version and in the app.
If you only select multiple team members for a chat, then it automatically becomes a group chat, if you select just one team member, then it is a one-on-one chat:
One-on-one chat: This is a conversation with an individual team member.
➡️ Example: You want to ask a team member a question about a shift.
Team chat: When creating a team you can choose to activate a chat group for the team. You can only add team members to the chat if you also add them to the team. Read here how to do that. As long as the team member is part of the team, it cannot be removed from the chat.
➡️ Example: You want to ask a question about the new menu to the kitchen team.
Group chat: You can select yourself who can participate in the chat.
➡️ Example: You have a quick announcement for the shift leaders of the teams.
Create a group chat in the web version
Navigate to 'Communication' at the top of the page.
Select 'Chat page'.
Click on the + at the bottom left and select one team member for a one-on-one chat or multiple team members for a group chat by checking the box next to their names.
Click on 'Create'.
If you created a group chat, add a group name and select an avatar.
Click on 'Create'.
Create a group chat in the mobile app
At the bottom of the screen, click the tab 'Messages'.
Click the + at the bottom right and select one team member for a one-on-one chat or multiple team members for a group chat.
If you created a group chat, enter a group name and choose an avatar or upload your own photo.
Click 'Continue'.
