Planning settings

Where do you find the planning settings?

  1. Use the menu icon in the top right corner to get to 'Venue settings'.

  2. On the left, choose 'Planning'.

  3. Apart from basic settings, this is is where you find setting for shift types, templates and a link to the availability settings.


Basics

These settings are explained below the image.

  1. Trade shifts: Team members can sign up for open shifts, or trade shifts with each other. With the settings here you determine whether a ‘manager’ (or the Admin) needs to actively approve these changes before the planning is adjusted.

  2. Weather forecast: Enter the location of your venue here, so that Eitje can display the weather forecast in the planning.

  3. Times: we have two settings for times.

    • Rounding of times: This determines which options you will be able to select for start and end times, when creating a new shift or hour entry. For example, if you choose to round ‘per 15 minutes’, the options are: 09:00, 09:15, 09:30, etc.

    • Show contract hours or desired number of shifts: This determines what information you see for the availability on the planning. If a team member has a fixed-hours contract, we can show the contract hours. If not, you will see the desired number of shifts per week. A team member can specify this for every week in the app.


Shift types

Go here to create new shift types, or delete them, or to manage them. Do you work with multiple venues in Eitje? In that case each shift type can be used in all venues in the organisation. Follow the link for more details:


Templates

Here you can manage your templates: delete them, change their name, or directly load them into your schedule. Follow the link for more details:


Availability

Activate 'availability' so that team members can indicate when they are available, and when not.
