Scheduled Messages are a way of sending one-off notifications to a group of guests through the Eleanor App. Often linking to a special offer or of key USP they are a great way to promote activities for guests to book.

To send scheduled messages, they need to be activated on your account by the Eleanor team - this is done on a user-by-user basis.

Key Benefits of Scheduled Messages:

  • Promote Special Offers, that guests may not be aware of

  • Fill up excursions with last-minute sign-ups

  • Send out key information relating to a change in an activity

  • Advertise special events that may not be part of the regular schedule

How to create and send a Scheduled Message:

The below video walks you through the steps of setting up a scheduled message linking it to a page in the app and sending it out to guests.

Whilst this is a fantastic way to promote activities and events and boost up-selling opportunities, not all guests will read all notifications in a timely manner, and some devices may block notifications being sent.

Because of this, we would always recommend that when key information is being communicated to guests, Scheduled Messages are used as part of a multi-channel method - where it is combined with other more traditional methods such as calling the guest room or leaving a note and turn down - to ensure that the information is received.
